Acknowledgements
Multiple people and organisations have been an important part of my grief and/or writing journey.
A wise counsellor who knows the A-Z of grief.
The Petrea King Quest for Life / Living with Grief weekend workshop showed me the benefits of connecting with other grieving people.
Megan Devine’s online courses introduced me to the positive experience of writing about grief:
Writing Your Grief 30 day course with daily writing prompts
Writing Your Grief weekly writing prompts.
Connecting with the participants of past courses through various networks became my go to place for the next five years. Somewhere to write honestly about feelings at any time of the day or night and know there would always be a supportive response from people with similar experiences - the on line friends I would never meet in person.
Karen Lane’s Sydney WEA Difficult Truth writing course, and subsequent nudging, influenced my thinking about this web site and helpful connection with Bernadette Carroll, the designer.
It was also where I met the collaborative members of my ongoing writing group, 5 Writers.
I feel very fortunate to have made all these connections with their highly beneficial outcomes.
